Royal Beach Club Paradise Island: Nassau’s Ultimate All-Inclusive Beach Day
If you’ve ever pulled into Nassau and wondered whether to venture into town or just stay close to the ship, Royal Caribbean has answered that question with something completely new. Royal Beach Club Paradise Island opened in December 2025 as the first destination in Royal Caribbean’s growing Royal Beach Club collection — and it changes the Nassau shore day entirely.
As a retired NYPD officer and cruise travel specialist, I’ve spent years advising clients on how to make smart decisions in port. Nassau has always required a bit of planning. Royal Beach Club Paradise Island simplifies that planning considerably, and I’ll walk you through everything you need to know before you go.
What Is Royal Beach Club Paradise Island?
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is an exclusive, all-inclusive beach club located in Nassau, The Bahamas, available only to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises guests, as well as Bahamian residents. It is not a private island — it is a secured beach club destination on Paradise Island, accessible by dedicated Royal Beach Club ferries from the Nassau Cruise Port.
The destination officially opened December 23, 2025, developed through a first-of-its-kind public-private partnership between Royal Caribbean and the Bahamian government. That partnership matters — it means the destination was built with local input, employs hundreds of Bahamian workers, and reflects authentic Bahamian culture throughout, from the architecture and food to live entertainment and local artisan vendors.
Think of it as the all-inclusive beach day that Nassau never had — and one that Royal Caribbean built specifically because guests kept asking for a better way to enjoy The Bahamas.
Getting There: The Royal Beach Club Ferry
When your ship docks at Nassau Cruise Port, follow signs to the Royal Beach Club Ferry area. Five colorful water ferries run continuously throughout beach club hours, transporting guests directly to and from the property. Ferry service stops at both Paradise Pier and Chill & Party Pier, and round-trip transportation is included in your day pass.
The ferries are wheelchair and scooter accessible with dedicated seating and ramps on each vessel. Guests with accessibility needs will enter through the Reserved Guest Experience Entrance at Nassau Cruise Port.
What to bring: Your SeaPass card and a government-issued ID are both required for entry. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, beach attire, water shoes, and a change of clothes. Your wallet is useful for the artisan huts and any local shopping after you return to the West Marina.
The Three Zones: Something for Every Vibe
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is divided into three distinct areas, each with its own atmosphere.
Chill Beach
Chill Beach is the family-friendly zone, anchored by The Shallow End — a zero-entry, temperature-controlled pool with a swim-up bar. Grab a cocktail or mocktail without ever leaving the water. The beach is lined with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beach games including cornhole, spike ball, and ring toss. The Activities Staff runs hosted programming throughout the day featuring Captain Cool — a pirate-themed character leading scavenger hunts, Walk the Plank challenges, Coconut Cannonball Toss, and Gold Rush Relay races.
The crown jewel of Chill Beach is the Ultimate Family Cabana — a two-story private retreat. It includes a personal whirlpool, a wet-dry slide between floors, a frozen drink machine, premium attendant service, and 12 all-inclusive day passes. There is only one of these on the property, and it sells out fast.
Party Cove
Party Cove is the energy hub of the beach club, built around The Floating Flamingo — the world’s largest swim-up bar. This two-story structure keeps the music going all day with DJ beats, incredible ocean views, and a bar that never stops pouring. Multiple additional bars are scattered throughout Party Cove for guests who prefer to stay on dry land.
For groups celebrating something special, the VIP Party Deck sits on the second floor of The Floating Flamingo and offers two private sides, each accommodating up to 12 guests. Front-row views of the DJ set, dedicated food and beverage service, loungers, fans, and towels are all included. This space is ideal for bachelorette parties, birthdays, family reunions, and large group celebrations. Each side includes 12 all-inclusive day passes, with the option to add up to six more.
Day Beds are also available in Party Cove for a more relaxed VIP experience, each including 2 all-inclusive day passes and dedicated beverage service.
Paradise Beach
Paradise Beach is the quieter, more relaxed zone — the place to decompress, soak up the sun, and unwind. The Deep End pool anchors this area, with its own swim-up bar and sweeping Caribbean views. Beach and pool cabanas line Paradise Beach, offering personal attendant service, upgraded amenities, and shaded retreats for those who want a more private experience.

Food and Drinks
All meals and beverages are included with your day pass. Three Paradise Grills serve fresh, handheld fare inspired by Bahamian flavors — highlights include Shrimp on a Stick, Cheesy Corned-Beef Fritters, and the Crispy Fish Sandwich. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available throughout the property.
Seven beach bars and three swim-up bars keep drinks flowing all day. Beverage options depend on which day pass you purchase. The Open Bar Day Pass covers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The Non-Alcoholic Day Pass covers unlimited soft drinks, juices, and mocktails, with alcoholic drinks available for purchase separately. Guests must be 21 or older to consume alcohol.
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island Day Pass Options
There are two standard day pass options. Bundle deals are also available, pairing your day pass with a shipboard beverage package for additional savings. Pricing varies by sailing. Check the Royal app or My Royal Cruise during the pre-cruise planning phase for current rates. Booking before you sail typically offers the best available rates.
Insider Tip: Book your day pass as soon as you see a price you’re comfortable with. Check back during major holidays and again within 60 to 90 days of your sailing. Royal Caribbean frequently offers deeper discounts closer to departure. If you find a lower price, cancel and rebook. Most packages and excursions can be rebooked without penalty up to 48 hours before your port day. It pays to keep an eye on it.
Children three and under are admitted free. Guests in the same stateroom are not required to purchase the same pass — one guest can book an open bar pass while another books non-alcoholic.
Important: Space is limited and Royal Beach Club Paradise Island operates at a seasonal capacity. Book your day pass as early as possible once your cruise is confirmed.

VIP and Cabana Options
For guests who want to elevate the experience, reservable options are available across all three zones. Each includes all-inclusive day passes for the number of guests it accommodates, personal attendant service, and upgraded amenities. All cabana rentals can be modified or canceled up to 48 hours before your Nassau arrival for a full refund.
Party Cove:
- Day Bed — includes 2 day passes, dedicated beverage service, umbrella, storage, and beach towels
- VIP Party Deck — includes 12 day passes, private pool-front space for up to 12 guests per side, perfect for group celebrations
Chill Beach:
- Beach Cabana — includes 8 day passes
- Spacious Beach Cabana — includes 10 day passes
- Panoramic Spacious Pool Cabana — includes 10 day passes with elevated pool views
- Ultimate Family Cabana — includes 12 day passes, two-story private retreat with whirlpool, wet-dry slide, and frozen drink machine
Paradise Beach:
- Beach Cabana — includes 8 day passes
- Pool Cabana — includes 8 day passes

Cabanas sell out well in advance, particularly on popular sailings. Book as early as your cruise planner allows.
Accessibility
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is fully accessible. All three pools include pool lifts for assisted entry and exit. Complimentary beach wheelchairs are available near the arrival areas on a first-come, first-served basis. ADA-compliant restrooms and accessible pathways are available throughout the property, including beach access mats for wheelchairs on sandy areas. The ferries are fully wheelchair and scooter accessible.
Note that the VIP Party Deck, the second floor of the Ultimate Family Cabana, and the Spacious Beach Cabanas on Paradise Beach are not accessible via the standard accessible pathways.
A Safety Perspective
As a retired law enforcement officer, I want to give you an honest safety assessment of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. Nassau has a well-documented reputation for crime and scams near the port — and this destination changes that equation significantly.
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island operates as a controlled-access environment. Entry requires a Royal Caribbean SeaPass card and government-issued ID, and the property is exclusively open to Royal Caribbean Group guests and Bahamian residents. This means you are not mixing with the general Nassau tourist population or dealing with the aggressive vendor situations that are common near the cruise port and in the downtown area.
The public-private partnership with the Bahamian government means a legitimate security infrastructure is in place. This is not an unsupervised beach operation. The ferry system keeps guests on a defined, managed transit route rather than navigating Nassau streets independently.
It is worth noting that this is not the same as a fully private island like Perfect Day at CocoCay, where access is completely sealed to RC guests only. Bahamian residents can access Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, which means it is not a completely closed environment. That said, the controlled entry, professional security presence, and structured environment make this dramatically safer than venturing into downtown Nassau independently.
My recommendation: if your priority is a relaxed, worry-free Nassau beach day, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island delivers exactly that. If you want to explore Nassau’s culture, shopping, and downtown area, plan that as a separate excursion with awareness of the safety considerations covered in my Nassau port guide.
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island Booking Tips From a Travel Agent
Book your day pass as soon as your cruise planner opens — typically 90 days before sailing for most guests, earlier for suite guests and loyalty members. Cabanas and the Ultimate Family Cabana sell out months in advance on popular sailings. Check the Royal app or My Royal Cruise for current pricing specific to your sailing date and ship.
If you already have a shipboard beverage package, check whether the bundle option saves you money compared to purchasing the day pass separately. The math varies by sailing so it’s worth comparing before you commit.
How to Save Money and Book Smart
Royal Caribbean frequently discounts shore excursions and day passes during Wave Season (January–March), Black Friday, and periodic flash sales in the cruise planner. Book early at the current price, then check back — if the price drops, cancel and rebook at the lower rate. Royal Beach Club Paradise Island day passes can be canceled up to 48 hours before your Nassau port day, so keep an eye on pricing in the days leading up to your sailing.
Note: Cancellation policies are subject to change. Always confirm current terms with Royal Caribbean or your travel agent before booking.
